The 'Sense' of Humor
This presentation explores the current research regarding the efficacy of purposefully using humor in professional learning environments.
Jim Winter, Wavelength Founder, Certified Laughter Leader and Certified Humor Professional created this workshop because educators often feel the issues within education are so serious and critical that they need to “get permission” to use their natural senses of humor in their work and professional relationships.
In this presentation, the audience will be enthused and empowered to use humor, laughter and spontaneity to enhance engagement and achievement in the classroom.
First learn the research underpinning the importance of laughter and humor. Then participants will experience group activities that increase creativity, spontaneity, morale, and boost health and wellness. Improvisational theatre exercises will be introduced that help support the questions of how, when and why to engage with humor.
Audience members will interact with peers, and receive effective tools to use with both students and colleagues.
SENSE OF HUMOR can be presented as a Keynote or an Interactive Workshop.
