Collaboration: From Team to Ensemble
Collaboration is one of the most important of the 21st Century Skills. Knowing how to work effectively in pairs and teams is critical to teaching and learning.
Improvisers are trained in an extraordinary form of collaboration where the key to success is to be aware of, and actively support, the other player’s success.
Wavelength’s teaching artists Michael Myers and Ric Walker created "Collaboration: From Team to Ensemble" to lead your staff through a series of engaging, interactive and increasingly challenging improvisational experiences. The exercises reinforce the spontaneous, free-flowing and creative expression that lead one from being a team member to experiencing the collaboration of an ensemble. The final experience culminates in a showcase of small-group, improvised performance pieces celebrating the profession of education.
COLLABORATION: FROM TEAM TO ENSEMBLE is available as a Keynote presentation and/or an Interactive Workshop
Ric Walker is an actor, director, writer and teacher who has toured extensively for Wavelength, an education based comedy troupe and for The Second City in BizCo and BoatCo, where he toured the Mediterranean and European ports.
